This
weekend
Brazilian
superstars
share
the
spotlight
but
only
one
will
emerge
victorious
when
Mauricio
"Shogun"
Rua
challenges
Lyoto
"The
Dragon"
Machida
for
the
205
pounds,
light
heavyweight
title
of
UFC.
Fireworks,
blood,
sweat
and
tears
will
fly
when
Machida
puts
his
title
on
the
line
and
defends
it
against
a
former
Pride
FC
champion
who
has
impressive
highlight
reels
against
some
of
the
greatest
fighters
in
MMA.
Here
is
a
lowdown
on
the
fight
and
see
if
you
can
predict
who
will
win.
Machida
is
undefeated
in
his
entire
career
and
he
never
lost
a
round
in
ALL
his
fights
according
to
the
scorecards
of
judges.
He
boasts
of
an
unblemished
record
inside
the
octagon
and
that
says
a
lot;
he
could
very
well
be
argued
as
the
real
Pound
for
Pound
greatest
mixed
martial
artist
when
compared
to
Anderson
Silva
who
lost
a
few
fights
in
his
career.
His
counterstriking
is
second
only
to
the
Spider's
precise
attacks
and
he
never
seems
to
gas
out
in
all
his
fights,
always
healthy
and
with
tremendous
cardio.
He
looks
better
than
ever,
composed
and
confident
in
his
technique
and
fighting
style.
He
never
attacks
in
mindless
flurries
and
when
he
does
strike,
it
is
with
deadly
precision
and
with
knockout
power.
He
demolished
renowned
fighters
like
Thiago
Silva
(handing
him
his
first
loss)
and
Rashad
Evans,
both
fearsome
strikers
with
knockout
force
in
both
hands,
and
he
did
so
with
relative
ease
that
he
made
them
look
like
amateurs
instead
of
world
class
contenders.
On
the
other
hand,
Shogun
Rua
was
regarded
as
the
Pound
for
Pound
greatest
in
Pride
FC
a
few
years
back
and
he
also
boasts
of
great
fights
notched
in
his
belt.
He
is
a
BJJ
specialist
and
very
confident
in
the
ground
game
and
he
is
also
a
devastating
striker
with
an
arsenal
of
deadly
moves
that
he
could
unleash
in
controlled
bursts.
He
is
a
muay
thai
brawler
and
he
could
very
well
baffle
Machida
if
he
keeps
on
attacking
in
full
force
and
maintain
his
unpredictabilty.
Machida's
ground
game
is
suspect
and
so
is
his
chin;
in
all
the
fighters
he
fought,
nobody
really
connected
hard
enough
to
prove
if
he
has
an
iron
chin.
And
even
though
Rua
lost
to
Forrest
Griffin
via
a
rear
naked
choke,
he
floored
Chuck
Liddel
in
his
most
recent
UFC
outing
and
we
can
see
that
he's
back
in
his
old
form.
That
said,
it
will
be
one
hell
of
fight
when
this
two
warriors
collide.
If
Machida
can
keep
his
composure
and
stick
with
his
game
plan,
he
could
very
well
defend
his
title
with
ease.
But
if
he
get
caught
in
a
brawl
with
the
hard-hitting
Rua
in
a
slugfest,
we
could
very
well
see
the
biggest
upset
of
the
year
and
proclaim
a
new
champion
at
205.
I
just
hope
that
I
can
finish
my
school
work
and
write
my
essay
on
time
so
that
I
could
enjoy
the
war
that
is
about
to
happen.
Popcorn
anyone?
